COTABATO CITY – Voters patiently waited as early as 5 a.m. on Monday in front of the Vilo Elementary School in Cotabato City, but voting for the historic Bangsamoro parliamentary elections did not start until 8 a.m.
Voting for seniors, persons with disabilities, and pregnant women was supposed to start from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
Regular voting was supposed to start from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Argie Gratuito, a registered voter, said the Commission on Elections (Comelec) or the members of the electoral board did not give any reason for the delay.
Voters queued in a police-guarded line outside the school even before the polling centers opened. /coa
