TNX “Die Another Day” MV Review: TNX is not here to quietly make a comeback with “Die Another Day”. The group walks into the room like they have something to prove, and that desperation is exactly what makes the music video work.
Die Another Day, released as TNX’s third digital single on August 27, marks a noticeably darker turn for the group. After the lighter, more refreshing kind of energy of CALL ME BACK, TNX returns with a much heavier sound built around edgy music. The song was perhaps written with a very specific feeling in mind, which is refusing to give up when everything around you starts feeling like ending.

Something is exhausting about TNX’s third digital single, Die Another Day, which is undoubtedly a compliment. The MV throws TNX into a world that feels unsettled, with members seen running, being chased and moving through spaces that carry an almost claustrophobic tension. There is very little space for safety here, and even when the boys are standing still, the video feels like something would happen.
It works beautifully with the song. The idea behind Die Another Day is not simply to have survived but closer to surviving, which is distinct, and TNX sells it. The guitar-heavy production gives the song a rougher texture than some of the group’s previous releases, while the vocals bring out the frustration sitting under the surface.
The track does not feel polished, but there is rawness to it that makes the desperation feel believable. The chorus is where Die Another Day starts feeling like a declaration: the production gets bigger, the members throw themselves into the performance, and the song suddenly feels like a collective scream of “we are not done yet.”
The Music Video Has a Purpose
One of my favourite things about this MV is that it does not treat the darker concept as an excuse to throw five members into black outfits and call it a day there. The visuals are built around anxiety, pursuit and survival.
The frantic movements and the darker environments all portray the larger idea of being trapped inside something you are trying to escape, desperately! The imagery throughout the song feels intentionally uncomfortable, with no conventional “pretty” appearing.
TNX have gone for a visual identity that feels rough, with a sense of physicality throughout the video that makes you believe the members are actually fighting their way out of something.
TNX Are Letting Themselves Sound Older
There is also something refreshing about how seriously TNX approach this song. There is a mature and serious kind of side to the Die Another Day video that comes through, particularly in the vocals. Instead of everyone sounding like trying to blend into a polished K-pop texture, there is more room for individual vocal colours, which becomes highly noticeable when the song moves between its softer moments and heavier instrumental sections.
The guitar does a lot of emotional heavy lifting, but the vocals keep the song grounded.
The Performance is the Hero
If there was ever a TNX song that needed a performance this intense, it is probably Die Another Day. The choreography is sharp, aggressive and seemingly deliberately physical. The members throw themselves into the movements instead of just performing, and their expressions sell the darker concept just as much as the styling does.
The performance has always been the identity, but here they look particularly comfortable wearing aggression and the choreography does not feel pasted onto a song. It has become a part of it.
Final Verdict
Die Another Day is not TNX convincing us that they became an entirely different group, but it is taking everything the group has been through and screaming it loud.
The song is darker with more desperate visuals, sharper performance and an emotional urgency behind everything. Every visual idea might not be completely new, and the dark K-pop boy-group aesthetic has been done before. Some imagery might even feel familiar.
TNX, however, makes it work because they actually commit to emotion and Die Another Day feels like a group refusing to just disappear. TNX’s Die Another Day is messy, loud and determined, and while it does not reinvent the wheel, it knows how to make the wheel spin.
