Bangkok’s biggest food festival of the year is already underway. The World in One Bite 2026: EAT WITH SMILE is running now through July 12, 2026, spread across Central Embassy and Central Chidlom in the heart of the city. Organised by Central Retail in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and Central The One credit cards, the festival brings together more than 150 leading restaurants and cafes alongside over 120 food pop-ups from across Bangkok. The concept this year is “EAT WITH SMILE” with a tagline of “FLAVOURS YOU CAN FEEL,” centring the whole event around the joy of eating well and sharing it with others.

Adding a visual layer to the food, Thai artist 3LANDBOY, who has built a strong following in Japan for his distinctive illustration style, has created artwork installations across both venues that double as photo spots throughout the festival.

For anyone planning to visit The World in One Bite 2026, here is a zone-by-zone breakdown of what to expect.

Central Embassy: three floors of food and more

Central Embassy anchors the festival around The Smiling Market, a food pop-up zone spread across floors 3 to 5 and the LG floor, with over 120 vendors making it the largest concentration of the festival in one place. The zone splits into three distinct sections based on what you are in the mood for.

Floor 3 — SMILE WITH SWEET TREATS

This floor is dedicated entirely to desserts and bakeries. Well-known sweet shops and pastry brands from around Bangkok have set up here, making it the go-to floor for anyone who wants to start or end their visit with something sweet.

Floor 4 — SMILE WITH STREET BITES

Floor 4 gathers Bangkok’s best-known street food vendors and serves them in a premium setting. The idea is to bring the neighbourhood hawker experience into a more comfortable environment without losing the flavours that made those stalls famous in the first place.

Floor 5 — SMILE WITH SAVORY BITES

The top floor of The Smiling Market is dedicated to casual dining from international cuisines. There is also a dedicated seating area reserved for holders of Central The One credit cards.

LG Floor — EATHAI

Downstairs on the LG floor, EATHAI is running signature dishes from some well-regarded Thai names: Suki Por Siri, PASTA AMA, and Khun Choo Pad Thai. Alongside the food, there are activities including fortune-telling sessions themed around flavour and workshops on contemporary Thai desserts. For wine lovers, there is also The Smiling Ground by Friday & Italasia on the ground floor, running MBTI Wine Test activities and special menus from chef In-Narongrit Sae Kho of his brand “Krua Baan In.”

Open House Floor 6 — TEA ROOM EXPO and SUHO Editions 01

The festival rounds out at Open House on the sixth floor with the TEA ROOM EXPO, a curated showcase of tea brands from around the world. Also running here is SUHO Editions 01, a series pairing sushi with French wine for anyone who wants a more refined food-and-drink experience as part of their visit. Central Chidlom: world-class ingredients and a sake weekend

From Central Embassy, a decorated walkway called WALK WITH SMILE on the second floor connects directly to Central Chidlom, where the festival continues with a different set of highlights.

Ground Floor — Tops Food Hall: Discover USA and Discover France

Tops Food Hall is running two sequential food-origin showcases as part of the festival. Discover USA runs from now until July 7, featuring American produce and speciality products, followed immediately by Discover France from July 8 to 21, spotlighting French ingredients and food culture. Both are positioned under the banner of “Truly World Class” sourcing.

Floor 1 — Drinks, booths, and 3LANDBOY

On the first floor across Public Lane and Public Market, visitors will find contemporary drinks booths from Pernod Ricard, a NESCAFÉ Dolce Gusto booth, and a 3LANDBOY illustration photo booth, which is one of the most popular check-in spots of the festival.

Floor 2 — Sake Playground (July 9 to 12 only)

Running specifically from July 9 to 12, the Sake Playground is a curated showcase of over 80 sake labels from across Japan, each paired with special food menus. The same floor also features Urban Pickleball activities and DJ sets, giving it a more social, evening-out energy compared to the food-focused floors.

Floors 4 and 6 — Workshops

For anyone who wants to make something rather than just eat, Home Market on the fourth floor and LOFTER on the sixth floor are running hands-on workshops. The two options are making shio pan, the popular Japanese milk bread, and creating your own croffle, a croissant-waffle hybrid, in your own style.

The World in One Bite 2026 runs until July 12, 2026, at Central Embassy and Central Chidlom, Bangkok. Admission to the festival areas is free, with costs depending on what you eat, drink, or take part in. For anyone building a wider weekend plan around the festival, the July 3 to 5 Bangkok weekend guide covers what else is on and what has gone on in the city and what you could still look forward to.
