Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort concluded its Panwa Ocean Week campaign, held from June 15 to 16, with a series of marine conservation activities and the release of five baby sea turtles on World Sea Turtle Day.
The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative focused on raising awareness of coastal ecosystem protection and marine life conservation in the Andaman Sea. Activities involved the resort’s management team and staff, alongside specialists from the Phuket Marine Biological Center (PMBC).
The campaign began on June 15 at the Turtle Nursery Lab, where participants attended a presentation on the lifecycle of sea turtles before helping to clean nursery ponds used for hatchlings.
The group then visited the Andaman Marine Fauna and Flora Museum, described as the only museum dedicated to marine venomous animals on the Andaman Coast, to learn more about local biodiversity.
The day continued at the Sireetharn Marine Animal Rescue Center, where participants attended an educational session on wildlife rescue operations and helped clean rehabilitation pools. They also observed the release of rehabilitated sea turtles back into the wild.

On June 16, World Sea Turtle Day, Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort hosted a beachfront event that opened with remarks from the resort’s general manager.
Marine biologists and specialists from PMBC then led an educational discussion on the current condition of Thailand’s marine environment and sustainable conservation practices.
The Panwa Ocean Week campaign concluded with participants releasing five baby sea turtles into the sea, supporting efforts to preserve the local marine population.
Pullman Phuket Panwa Beach Resort said the campaign reflected its commitment to operating as a sustainable destination, supporting eco-tourism and protecting Phuket’s natural environment for future generations.
