Synopsis
Jiang Ning (Nora Jones), the wealthy heiress of Nanzhou, accidentally kills He Jiawei while resisting his assault at her birthday banquet and is subsequently imprisoned. After years behind bars, she is finally released—only to find that everything has changed. Zhan Beiye (Barrett), the man she once loved, passes by her as a stranger, his gaze cold and indifferent.
Hardened by hardship, Jiang Ning sheds her innocence and grows sharp enough to survive. Yet at her lowest, she discovers the truth: Zhan Beiye was never heartless. He had merely hidden his love in the shadows, quietly planning every step and clearing all obstacles for her.
