CEBU CITY, Philippines — Flight operations at the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) continue despite ashfall from Kanlaon Volcano, airport authorities announced in an advisory issued at 11:50 a.m. Thursday. Volcanic ash was detected in the vicinity of the airport, including on its runways, following the volcano’s activity earlier in the day, according to airport officials.
