LPA forms outside PAR, not expected to affect PH Monday

MANILA, Philippines — A low-pressure area (LPA) developed outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) early Monday morning, according to the state weather bureau. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 5 a.m. weather forecast that the LPA was last located 3,230 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.
