
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) had received 43.3 percent of the expected election returns (ERs) as of 7:30 p.m. on Monday, after the closing of polling precincts for the first Bangsamoro Parliamentary elections.
Based on the Comelec’s official website, it had received 2,427 of the expected 5,212 ERs as of 7:30 p.m.

The early voting period ran from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., while the regular voting period was scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
While voting had already closed in many precincts, Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia earlier said that voting hours in Al-Barka, Basilan, were extended by two hours because the opening of polling centers was delayed on Monday morning due to security issues. /mcm
